Antichrist

While many Christians are not being taught anything about antichrist, others are mainly taught about the Antichrist and 666. The verses below will help bring some needed insight and balance. We must be aware that the spirit of Antichrist is already at work and many antichrists have already come. It will help our understanding if we also know that anti can either mean against, opposite or in place of.

If you will begin taking an honest and discerning look at the world around you as well as at parts   of the church you will begin to see that an anti-Jesus and anti-Christian civilization that is undergirded by anti-Jesus and anti-Christian political/judicial power is on the rise.

As always, I am calling for enough Christians to unite in the faith and fully accomplish what Jesus wants of His church before He returns.

Little children, it is the last time (hour): and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour.

--1 John 2:18

Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is the antichrist who denies the Father and the Son.

--1 John 2: 22

Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.

--1 John 2: 23

Note: 1 John 2: 23 specifically addresses some who knock on doors. Some of you have friends who fall into this category. Pray for and witness truth to them before it is too late for them.

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming; and is now  already in the world.

--1John 4: 1-3

For many deceivers have gone out into the world who do not confess Jesus Christ as coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist!

--2 John 1:7

My Christmas Prayer

Dear Lord Jesus,

I know that you were not born on December 25th, but with all my heart I celebrate Your birth with others who love and appreciate You and all You have done and continue to do for us. Let us have a true awakening and an anointing of your Spirit that causes us to celebrate You every moment of our lives. Let us yield to your Spirit and allow Him to fully form you within each of us. You are no longer a little baby; You are full grown and You are the King of kings and the Lord of lords.

The world around us that is under Satan's control is trying to destroy, erase or change anything that mentions or points to You. I pledge to You that I will by the help of Your Spirit continue to do what I can to awaken the hearts and minds of those who say they believe in You so that we will unite in the faith and become unified witnesses for you and Your kingdom.

Satan and his ministers disguised as ministers of righteousness have invaded and taken over parts of what is called Christianity with their lies, deceptions and vain philosophies. Though Your word warns of these things, I see young and old alike being captured and deceived by him and his false ministers who are deceiving and deceived. Satan has an arsenal of strategies and tactics and he knows that not everyone will fall for the same thing so he tailors and personalizes his attacks. So far his strategies and tactics have been so successful in blinding the minds and hearts of many professing Christians that they are not only not resisting what he is doing, but are actually cooperating with him.

One thing that defies logic is that many people who profess You as their Savior and Lord say that they see the dangers all around us but they can do very little if anything because they have been captivated by parts of Christianity which deny the power that You have provided for Your people to do your will on earth. One of the things that prevent them from waking up is that many of those who don't deny the power have set bad examples by either prostituting it for their own gain or by chasing wildfires. Satan must sit back and laugh as he continues to take ground. At present, it is almost impossible to see how he could feel threatened by the church at large.

Much has changed since last Christmas! Much will change by next Christmas! I believe that what will take place is largely up to what takes place with Your followers. We desperately need restoration, revival and awakening! I know that Satan and his forces, both demonic and human, have plans to double down on their efforts in attacking You and Your followers. You surprised him and His followers at Your birth; You surprised him and his followers at Your crucifixion and subsequent resurrection. Let’s surprise him and them this next year!

Let there come forth a faithful remnant church that totally yields to Your Spirit and allows Him to fully form You within each member thereof. With Him in total control of our spirits, souls and bodies, let our meat be to do the will of our Heavenly Father and glorify You in all things. Let there be a church in Your image that manifest Your love, power, truth and unity.

Lord Jesus, You are no longer a little baby; You are full grown and You are King of kings and Lord of lords. In the future every knee will bow and acknowledge You as such. I choose to willingly bow to You and acknowledge all of who You are now. Thank You with all my heart!

In Your Name,

Amen

Alert to True Christians

I have been warning for years that the battle is against Jesus and His followers, and that Christians in America should wake up to see that your Christian freedom is under attack. Today I have a fresh warning that the time is short for Christian freedom in America unless enough Christians wake up and wake up soon.

To help wake up true Christians I must also address end times to make the word above clear to your hearts and minds. Things are getting worse all over the world, including in America. Some preachers and Christians recognize that fact, but their response is that Jesus is coming soon which means that they will be saved from the chaos and destruction. Jesus is coming, but there is something that is missing in the minds of most of those who long for His return. They are missing the truth that Jesus is coming for a church that has made herself ready (Revelation 19:7). Being ready includes several things, and one of those key things is the unity of the faith that Jesus prayed for in John 17 (see also Ephesians 4:13).

So what is the conclusion? We Christians in America can go along as we are and experience greater and greater loss of Christian freedom or we can wake up, repent, yield to the Holy Spirit and allow Him to make us one with the Lord Jesus and with each other. The prayer of Jesus is going to be answered! For us it can take place while we have Christian freedom or after the loss of Christian freedom and all that loss will mean, but it is going to take place.

Producing a Faithful Remnant Church

Are you born again? Are you one with the body of Christ? These are two very important questions that must be biblically balanced or we will never have a faithful remnant church that is able to complete her work on earth.

There are many born again Christians whose main focus is on the importance of being saved and going to heaven. They are born again and will spend eternity with the Lord Jesus, but they are falling way short in what the Lord wants of them on earth. They do not yet have the full revelation of what Jesus wants the church that He is building to be and to do.

Jesus does love each person as an individual, but the major goal of Father, Son and Holy Spirit is having a body of Christ that is one with each other. Grow in your appreciation that Jesus made a way for you as an individual to be part of His body, but develop a mindset that we must have a body of Christ that is one with Jesus and with each other. Ask the Holy Spirit for revelation on how important this is because without this mindset we will never be able to fulfill the major goal of Father, Son and Spirit.  In building a building, each individual board is important, but they must be put together and put together properly to have a building. The fragmentation of the church is the polar opposite of the will of Jesus for the church that He is building.  We can sing Victory in Jesus, but without fulfilling our Lord’s Prayer found in John 17 we will never be victorious on earth.

Caution!  Don’t be deceived and drawn in to the false unification that is being promoted by many within and without Christianity. It is very deceptive and uses key words such as love, peace, tolerance and grace to accomplish its evil and deceptive purposes.

In closing, I urge you to repent of and remove any mindset that promotes fragmentation. Submit to the Holy Spirit and study the word of God diligently so that you know truth and will not be among the elect who are in danger of deception. Find a minster that is focused on helping Jesus build His one body rather than building up some local church or ministry that does good things but is wittingly or unwittingly promoting fragmentation.  The Lord Jesus is praying, watching and waiting.

We Haven't Seen Anything Yet!

Galatians 6: 7, 8 reads “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”

For decades I have been calling for Christians to wake up as well as warning of things like what happened in California yesterday. I have repeatedly said that unless enough Christians wake up you haven't seen anything yet.

This morning I hear in my spirit that most Christian ministers in America do not know what to do in light of what is taking place. Yes, they will talk about praying for hurting people as they should. They will talk about trusting God as they should. They will talk about some other things that are appropriate, but deep down inside they don’t know what to do to get to the root cause of things. Oh yeah, the end time people will come on strong with things are getting worse and be ready. Yes, things are getting worse; we should all look to the glorious return of the Lord Jesus, but He isn’t coming for a weak and divided bride who hasn’t completed her work on earth.

My word to you is, don’t be deceived. Do not be deceived by the rhetoric which is and which will be coming forth from multiple sources (religious leaders, political leaders, the media, etc.). Wake up and yield all to the Holy Spirit. Ask Him to bring forth true and mature apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to equip the saints. Find some to properly equip you! Be careful and discerning of those who might make a brief change, but will soon get back to their status quo messages. Remember that most don’t really know what to do to get to the root cause of things. Pray that they wake up; make the appropriate changes in their lives and messages, and begin getting about the business of properly equipping and making the bride ready for now and the future.

We haven’t seen anything yet! I want to see restoration, revival and awakening that turns the world upside down for Jesus. What do you want to see? Are you willing to count the cost and pay the price?

God's Truth Versus Last Day's Deception

One devastating last day’s deception says that God accepts people of all religions. There are those who call themselves Christian ministers who are spreading this deception by saying that God accepts not only Christians but Muslims, Hindus and those of other religions. They are not only spreading this last day’s deception, but are joining with leaders from other religions to form a false unity. They are setting people apart with deception. Pray for these deceived ministers and the leaders of others religions to wake up to God’s truth!

The truth is that God loves all people, but there is only one way for them to be restored to God. That one way is to by faith receive Jesus as Savior and become part of the spiritual body of Christ. This is the only way to be accepted into the family of God! Ministers of truth will love all people and because of that love will share the truth of how to be restored to God to all lost people including those of other religions. Those who hear and respond to the truth of Jesus will join together to answer the prayer of Jesus in John 17. Sanctification by God’s truth forms a people that are one with God and one with each other.

Even though many Christians may not yet be aware of this particular deception, it is rampant and spreading fast among parts of modern Christianity. It is a serious deception and is in itself another growing gospel. It fits in the biblical warning that deception will be such in the last days that even the elect will be in danger of being deceived.

Sanctification by Truth and the Baptism in the Spirit

We Christians will not have the necessary agreement and power to overcome the evil and deception that is rapidly spreading throughout the earth without sanctification by truth (John 17:17) and the baptism in the Spirit (Luke 24: 49, Acts 1: 4, 8). Without a remnant church that is sanctified by truth and endued with power that only comes by the baptism in the Spirit, evil will continue to grow and advance throughout the earth. You haven’t seen anything yet! But if enough Christians will wake up and come to true spiritual agreement that can only come to those sanctified by truth and will receive the power that only comes to those baptized in the Spirit, you will see revival and awakening. That is what I want to see!

As we go forward I will continue to emphasize sanctification by truth and the baptism in the Spirit. Without these and the unity of faith that they produce we are no match for evil and its accompanying spiritual darkness that is spreading fast throughout the earth.

I Feel Sorry for Churches Tied to the Status Quo

I feel sorry for those people who will attend a church today where there will be prayers for those in France and elsewhere and possibly the preacher will have some related comments and Scriptures in his or her sermon, but soon all will be back to the particular status quo. All will be back to the doctrines and traditions of man.
I strongly feel sorry for those who have a preacher who will use cheap love and grace to support a certain political group. Where are the disciples who will say enough of that and if the preachers will not repent, then they will find a true and mature preacher who rightly divides all of Scripture and properly and fully equips them for the work of the ministry?

Truth versus Talking Points

The progressives/socialists/communists are preparing their talking points. They are preparing them not because they love Americans and our Constitution, but because they love power. You will hear these talking points coming from those in Washington D. C., from the media, from those in education, even from preachers as well as from ever other way you turn. Even when they give the facts and take action, the motive is wrong. Have you had your senses trained to discern both good and evil?

I am looking for the real; I am looking for truth bearers. You will not hear it from those mentioned above. You will also not hear it in the debate tonight. You will hear what may tickle your ear, but you will not hear truth that sets free unless one or more gets born again, filled with the Spirit and sanctified by truth before tonight.

Just in case you get defensive; I am well aware of the other camp also.  For example, the Christians who call themselves conservative and look to the arm of the flesh will double down on the arm of the flesh. The one running for President who doesn’t want a strong military has his wheels spinning so he can spin your minds. Neither of the major political parties are the kingdom of God. I will say that the platform of one party is so far from Jesus and His truth that there is no way a true Christian could support the candidates of that party unless they are deceived.

I will close by saying that there are preachers who will double down on cheap love and cheap grace, and the prosperity deceivers will find a way to keep spinning it. Those who constantly emphasize that things are getting worse and the rapture will come at any moment will intensify their message. I am looking for the glorious return of the Lord Jesus, but these preachers for the most part keep Christians ready to leave rather than ready to be salt and light. The church will stay divided and therefore our nation will stay divided until Christians repent, repent, repent, become filled with the Spirit of God, sanctified by truth, united in the faith, and together get about our Father’s business.

Untapped Potential of Christians

Matthew 16:19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

Acts 1:8 But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

The two verses above are indicators of the untapped potential of the Church.

At present it is sad that the majority of Christians are living way beneath their God given heritage, calling and responsibility.  One of the causes, if not the main cause for this deficiency, has been the doctrines and traditions of man that have captivated the minds and hearts of millions of Christians thereby preventing them from uniting and fulfilling the Lord’s will and work on earth.

I promise you that this must and will change before the Lord comes for His people. I just want it to change while I can be a part of it. In every generation, the Spirit of the Lord looks throughout the earth for Christians who will unite in the faith and accomplish all that God intends for His people on earth during that generation. He wants it to be true of every generation.

Would you like to be part of the body of Christ who taps into the church’s full potential and fulfills John 14: 12-14? Wouldn’t it be great that it become true of our time on earth? I want it to be said of us that we are turning the world upside down (Acts 17:6)? I am ready and willing! How about you?

Denying the Power of the Holy Spirit

”… having a form of godliness but denying its power …” 2 Timothy 3:5

When I awoke this morning, the Spirit of God began speaking to me about the denial of power within a large portion of the modern-day church. Truly, 2 Timothy 3:5 is more relevant currently than it has ever been. There are churches all over the earth who call themselves followers of Jesus but have various forms of godliness and are denying the power thereof. There is no greater demonstration of this problem than by a large number of churches and denominations within the United States of America.

This denial is expressed in several ways, including: denying that Jesus Christ is the only way to God, denying the truth of various parts of the Word of God, and denying the indwelling and overflowing of the Holy Spirit. This morning, the Holy Spirit focused my attention on the latter. There is a denial of the power of the Holy Spirit and the expression thereof in large portions of the modern-day church, especially in the United States.

We recently had political elections in the United States, as most of the world knows. The outcome was decided by how modern church people voted or whether they voted at all. Many stayed home, which was a dereliction of Christian duty; others voted based on deceptive ideologies because they lack a firm grasp of truth found by rightly dividing the Holy Scriptures. Yes, spiritual deception is having a heyday among many of the clergy and their parishioners. Other Christians voted differently than the aforementioned but not all for godly reasons. The overall state of the church is a mess, and one major indicator is in American politics.

Some, or should I say many, of those modern-day church members who cast their votes based on being true to biblical values and our Constitution are the ones I want to address presently. I commend you for standing for both! You voted in a godly way. You are concerned about things in the church world and society both here and abroad. I want you to hear that we must repent of having forms of godliness and denying the power and workings of the Holy Spirit.

The Spirit of God is working to bring forth a remnant church in the image of Jesus Christ that will be a church of true godliness and mighty power. She will be holy as God is holy in all of her conduct. She will spiritually war against principalities and powers and pull down strongholds that have confused and deceived the minds of many within and without the church.

Some of you are rightly concerned about the state of things in our nation’s capital as well as across our beloved country. I commend you, but I call you to humility before God and repentance where appropriate. Be assured that major godly change must first come within the church before godly change will take place in our country. We must yield to the Spirit of God, become sanctified with true Biblical truth, unite in faith, say the same things, put on our spiritual armor, and march to victory under the banner of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is the King of kings and Lord of lords. He has won a victory that we must maintain. Let’s get going and occupy until He comes. (First posted December 13, 2012)

What Does Restoration Mean to Christians in America?

Also see What Does Restoration Mean to All Christians (dated 1/15/2013)

Why Need Restoration?
Three of the main things that Jesus intends for the Church that He is building are: 1. To be filled with and led by the Holy Spirit; 2. To be one with Him and each other; 3. To know and live by His Word. There are other things but if one truthfully discerns the present Church, they will quickly acknowledge that the Church falls short in each of these areas. Therefore the Church is in great need of restoration.

What is Restoration?
A simple definition of restoration is the bringing back of the Church to Jesus Christ and the original biblical pattern intended by Him for the Church that He is building. Note: Biblical pattern is the pattern found in the Bible as the Word of God is rightly divided.

Concern for Christians in the United States
At the present time most of the Church on earth is far away from God's intended purposes for her. Although my concern is for the Church throughout the earth, in this message I am asking you to focus on the Church in the United States. Most, if not all, parts of the Church throughout the earth need restoration, but none more so than the part that is found within the United States of America.

Because of the overall unrestored state of the Church in the United States, I have what could be called a progressive concern for the future of Christians in the United States. What do I mean by a progressive concern? I mean that, as each day passes, the window closes a little on our time to prepare for things and events of the future. I am referring to things that are coming on the earth, things that are coming in the United States that will change this country as you and your family know it.

Some Christians are counting on things like the rapture, or even death, to escape what is coming. This often prevents them from doing the things that are needed to be ready. I have a glorious hope of the return of the Lord, but I have a concern for life before He returns. I am concerned about things that you and your family, as well as mine, will face. As time passes, we will progressively face things that, as a whole, we are unprepared for unless the Church in the United States is restored to God, His Word of truth, and His biblical pattern of living and doing all things. Some things to face will be minor, and some things to face will be major, but remember that "little foxes spoil the vine." There are many different topics of concern, but at this time I will only mention the loss of freedom(s).

Loss of Freedom(s)
When undistracted and focused Christians take a discerning look at present conditions as well as at conditions of the near past, they have to acknowledge that many freedoms have already been lost. Unless true restoration occurs soon, the losses of the past and present will be miniscule compared to the losses of the future, the near future. Many who profess to be Christians are even going to make decisions that will cost them their freedoms. They have been blinded by the things of the world and of the modern Church and will submit to being led by the blind into the ditch of bondage.

Is there Hope?
There is hope! There is hope that true disciples will wake up and become salt and light, not only to the world around them, but to the modern Church. It is too late to stop some of the things, minor and major, that are upon us, but it is not too late to unite in faith and call on God. God will respond and see you through; He will use you to be a help to others. Will you deny self, forsake all, and unite in faith with like-minded disciples to follow Jesus and be and do what He always intended for His disciples? If so, there is hope. There is not only the hope of the glorious return of the Lord, there is hope for a glorious Church in His image to be waiting and prepared for Him.

Requesting a Favor
I am requesting a favor of you. Would you please consider responding and sharing with me what you think of when I say that the Church as a whole is in need of restoration? How does restoration apply to you, your family (present and future), your local church, and all of the Church? Do you really understand what Jesus means by being a disciple in deed? Do you understand unity of faith? Do you believe that there will be a Church with Christ formed within that unites in faith and witnesses the gospel of the kingdom to all nations (Matthew 24:14)? Do you know where to start? (First posted Wednesday 10/15/2008)

The Message of the Cross

For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. (1 Corinthians 2:2)

But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.
(Galatians 6:14)

The overall state of the modern Christian Church is of great concern to me. Why? God has burned within me the call to be a protector of the body of Christ and the desire to see a Church that is truly restored to the biblical pattern. The biblical pattern mandates that all churches that are part of the Church that Jesus is building not only preach about Jesus but preach the message that He preached. One cannot preach about Jesus without preaching the message of the cross, and to preach what Jesus preached is to preach the gospel of the kingdom.

By the Spirit, I see a remnant Church coming forth that is preaching the Kingdom of God and teaching the things which concern the Lord Jesus Christ with all confidence (Acts 28:23, 31). I see a remnant Church that preaches Jesus and Him crucified and of which every member has denied self, forsaken all, and taken up their cross to follow Jesus (1 Corinthians 2:2; Luke 9:23; 14:27, 33). I see a remnant Church that fits the description found in Ephesians 4:11-16.

With my natural eyes, I observe that most modern churches and denominations are not following the biblical pattern or mandate. Instead, many are substituting the heart and core of the Word of God with other things, even good things. They are saying some things from the Bible and doing things that seemingly help their members personally, especially in the area of making them feel better about themselves. For example, like never before, churches are giving their members opportunities to use their abilities to help others. These opportunities seem to be growing as personal fulfillment and purpose-driven messages expand and take greater hold within more parts of the Church. The membership roles also grow as people in the various communities learn that they can come and release their gifts and/or learn to feel better about themselves.

Many modern churches emphasize the need to do what will help them grow in number and not what will bring forth a Church that is mature in Jesus and His Word. They sometimes stay true to what their group has always emphasized about the Word and, in addition, they come up with programs, activities, and outreach methods to draw people of all ages and keep them involved. Releasing individual gifts and calling it ministry always gives people a sense of accomplishment and fulfillment, so this has become a favorite strategy for getting and keeping members. To the natural eyes, all of this may seem to be good, but as I look closely with my spiritual eyes I see something missing.

What is missing? One of the main things missing is the message of the cross. Preaching Jesus and Him crucified is missing! Preaching the denial of self, the forsaking of all, and the following of the crucified Christ into the harvest fields is missing. Professing Christians are being self-fulfilled while the harvest fields remain white for harvest. John 4:35: “Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!”

What we have instead is a counterfeit harvest, wherein people are drawn to a counterfeit (mixed) message by excited people flooding the marketplaces with the message of self—how to feel good about oneself and how to find fulfillment for oneself. Recently, I witnessed on television an internationally known preacher take Romans 5:17 and come up with driving an expensive, a very expensive, car. I went to bed thinking about reigning in life and driving an expensive car and using that to win certain people who would not come any other way, according to the luxury-car-driving-preacher. I turned the light back on, picked up my Bible and studied Romans 5:17 in the context of the message presented from 5:12 to 5:21. I found the message to be about reigning over sin and death through Jesus, but I could not find a luxury car or a luxury house in the message anywhere. I couldn’t even find a luxury suit to wear.

Too many modern churches are like the church of Ephesus in Revelation 2:1-7. It had a great resume, but what mattered most to Jesus was missing. No one in the past, present, or future can be a real disciple without what took place on the cross, and yet we hear less and less about the cross in the modern Christian church. Oh, it is mentioned from time to time, but it is not taught and given priority according to biblical proportions. Those who may preach good messages on the cross usually leave out or improperly teach other vital things, such as the baptism in the Spirit and the gospel of the kingdom.

Many churches have adopted strategies from the world’s systems in their efforts to reach the lost of the world. The problem with this strategy is that the systems of the world are under the sway of the wicked one (1 John 5:19). When the church tries to look like the world to win the lost of the world, the world does not become like the church; the church becomes like the world, and its witness is damaged and/or lost. The world will never take seriously a compromised church.

The resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment are two of the six basic doctrines of true discipleship (Hebrews 6:1, 2). After being resurrected, the lost and false disciples will be judged at the Great White Throne Judgment. After being resurrected, true disciples of Jesus Christ will be judged at the Judgment Seat of Christ and given rewards according to their earthly ministry. One place in Scripture that gives us insight concerning the believers’ judgment is 1 Corinthians 3: 11-15.

Could it be that the great resume of the church at Ephesus, as well as the resume of good works that many believers are presently involved in, will be burned as wood, hay, or straw? Will there be people who are not at the Judgment Seat of Christ but at the Great White Throne Judgment instead because they thought they were “okay” when they were on earth? They were busy and fulfilled with many church activities, but, in truth, they never experienced the cross and never took up their cross and followed Jesus into the harvest field with the right message and the right motivation. Will there be people at the Great White Throne Judgment because a true laborer of Jesus Christ never ministered to them?

There will, in fact, be people at the Great White Throne Judgment because they never were ministered truth and never witnessed a true, mature disciple of Jesus Christ who had taken up their personal cross to follow Him. The modern church is sadly lacking in one of the things that counts most.

The message of the cross, first of all, teaches us about what Jesus has accomplished for all who will by faith receive Him. It teaches that Jesus, by the shedding of His blood and the giving of His life, made a way for us to be redeemed to God. Through His resurrection we, too, can be resurrected to spend eternity together with Him. The message of the cross goes on to teach us about our responsibility while on earth. We are to deny self, forsake all, and take up our cross and follow Jesus. The denying of self includes denying the fleshly pleasures and selfish personal ambitions and the fulfillment that many find in doing good manmade works in the modern church. The message of the cross includes the message that, in this world, there will be persecution for true disciples. Anyone who takes up their cross to follow Jesus and proclaims Jesus and Him crucified will be persecuted.

These are hard sayings, but they are true sayings! When Jesus preached hard sayings, many of His disciples turned away. Many professing Christians have already turned away from hard sayings in our day, and many more will turn away in the future, but there will be a faithful remnant that will not turn away from the truth. They will, instead, turn away from the lies, deceptions, and mixtures that are flooding the modern church and the world. These faithful few will unite in the unity of faith that Jesus prayed for and looks for. They will proclaim and live by the message of the cross.
The work of the Lord cannot be fully accomplished without a faithful remnant Church that is living in the unity of John 17. We need true revival! All true revivals have to start with someone. What about with you? Will you forsake manmade modern church and the things of the world to follow Jesus? Will you search intently until you find true and mature ministers sent by God and then submit yourself to be equipped by the Holy Spirit through them? Will you join in the unity of faith with other disciples who have done the same and then shine as a light for Jesus Christ to a lost and dying world and to a manmade church that has followed man and not Jesus? I must declare again that if you are following partial truth, you are following man. Distance must not matter; minds must be renewed and freed from old ways of thinking about church. The cost must be counted and the price paid—the cross carried. Some will follow the narrow road, but many others are so bound by relationships and other things that they will settle for half-truths and half covenants rather than wholly following Jesus.

The restored Church that I see so clearly is made up of those true believers found all over the earth who daily fulfill Luke 9:23; Luke 14:27, 33, and 1 Corinthians 2: 1-2. I believe that Zechariah 13:9 can be used to give some insight about this Church. It also reminds me of the gold, silver, and precious stones found in 1 Corinthians 3: 12.

The Cross stands at the center of Christendom. No one can reach God without going the way of the Cross of Jesus Christ. There is convicting and restorative power in the message of the Cross. Therefore, let the Message of the Cross be returned to its proper place in the lives of all true believers! Let this result in a restored Church that is formed in the image of Christ and united in faith. (First posted 1/26/08)

Prophetic Words (September 2015)

There is a difference in someone doing things for Jesus and someone yielding to the Spirit of God and allowing Jesus to live within them and do His works through them.  The first is religious and the second is spiritual. There are many sincere, dedicated and well intending Christians who fall into the first category. The church needs Christians who have fully yielded to the Spirit of Christ and are being led by Him to do the works that Jesus did. When enough Christians humble themselves and come to this place of yielding, then and only then will the church fulfill Isaiah 60: 1 and 60: 2b. Until that time the church will struggle and darkness will cover the earth and deep darkness the people (Isaiah 60: 2a). (Monday 9/14/2015)

One successful tactic that the progressives (socialist/communist) use to control Christians is their use of key Christian words such as love, grace and mercy. For example, these words are being highlighted as a primary motive for bringing in Muslim refugees to the United States; anyone who questions or objects is attacked as being unloving and uncaring. Never mind that what is being done is an old and long time strategy of Islam to help accomplish its goal of world dominion. (Tuesday 9/15/2015)

True disciples of Jesus are true Christians, but not all people who call themselves Christians are true disciples of Jesus and therefore are not true Christians. This includes some ministers in the institutionalized church.  We must have our senses trained to discern both good and evil which includes being able to discern true Christians from false and counterfeit Christians.  It also includes being able to discern the true, faithful and uncompromising body of Christ from the false, unfaithful and compromising system of religion which will be widely accepted, supported, promoted and acclaimed by the world. Among other things the true will be known by the unity of the faith and the false will be known by tolerance and unity with diversity. The true is preparing for the return of Jesus and the false is preparing to ride the beast. The true will forsake all to follow and witness Jesus and His kingdom; the false will progressively oppose and try to destroy the true and their witness. Selah! (Tuesday 9/15/15)

Who is Interested in God's Heart and View of Restoration?

“God desires the Church to mature in Christ and to carry on His work as a unified body under the direction of the Holy Spirit until the return of His Son Jesus Christ.”

I believe the heart of God longs for the restoration of His Church. God birthed the Church to carry on the work of His Son, Jesus, and to prepare to rule and reign with Christ throughout eternity as His bride. The Church has accomplished much good over the centuries but, as a whole, has never fulfilled her assignment to carry on the work of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. In fact, the Church in her present state cannot fulfill her God-given responsibility. The list of her shortcomings is too long to enumerate in this message, but it will suffice to say that she is divided rather than united and, as a whole, is more immature than mature. She is not fulfilling her assignment to minister the gospel of the kingdom in the entire world as a witness to all the nations, and she definitely does not presently present herself as one who is ready for the marriage of the Lamb.

I know that these few words will stir up a hornet’s nest of spiritual opposition because they go against many of the prevalent theories and doctrines of various parts of the Church. I only ask in this message that one would seek in prayer and the Word to gain God’s vision and heart for the Church. God desires the Church to mature in Christ and to carry on His work as a unified body under the direction of the Holy Spirit until the return of His Son Jesus Christ. He knows that in her present state she cannot fully accomplish her God-given assignment and therefore needs to be restored.
How does one learn more about our Heavenly Father’s view concerning the need for the restoration of the Church? We have only one place to find the answer to this question. That place is the Word of God. A study of the Old Covenant quickly reveals that, when His people turned away and went their own way, God longed for their return to Him and His purposes for them. The New Covenant reveals God’s desire for a people, both Jew and Gentile, who will be in unity with Him and with each other. In the book of Revelation, God’s heart is revealed as Jesus calls His people to repent and return to their first love. God loves us and wants to draw us near to Him and to each other!

There are many examples in both the Old and New Covenants of God’s desire for His people to live in a covenant relationship with Him and with each other, but there is nothing that reveals God’s heart more than His giving His only begotten Son to have a people. God wants a people, a people who are in covenant with Him and with each other. God, Who gave His Son to have a people, longs for that people to be one with Him and with each other. He longs for and looks for a Church that has Christ formed within and who is carrying on the work of Jesus Christ as a unified body should. God’s view of His people is that they need to be restored to Him and to each other, and His heart longs for His people, His family, to be restored to that place. In the past, the love of God for us motivated Him to give His only begotten Son. That same love still reaches out to draw us to Him and to unite us in faith. If only we could have a revelation of His heart for us and respond in kind.

I believe the Holy Spirit is looking for faithful ministers and disciples who know and understand that the Church is in great need of restoration and will submit to Him to do what is necessary to bring about that restoration. First, He is looking for true and mature apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers who will preach and teach the whole counsel of God and unite under the leading of the Holy Spirit to equip the saints as God has always intended. Secondly, He is looking for disciples who will submit themselves to be equipped and will be single minded in their devotion to God and His purposes.

Those ministers and disciples who see the need for restoration and want to be involved in restoring the Church must realize that it will not be easy. They must view things as God views them and not as the modern Church and the world view them. It will take dedication, commitment, perseverance, and much time and effort, along with the realization that suffering will be involved. Persecution will come to the faithful! It will come from those who want to maintain the status quo in the Church, as well as from the world. Therefore, those who want to be used of God to bring about restoration must count the cost and be willing to pay the price; they must understand the cause and be willing to spend and be spent. A study and application of Gideon’s three hundred will give an idea of God’s perspective in what He is looking for. Many may try to answer the call, but only a few will be chosen. It will require more than most modern preachers and Christians are presently ready to contribute, but it will be standard for those who want to fulfill the call and responsibility of true and mature biblical ministers and disciples. The dedication will, in time, bear fruit. As many in the Church return to the Lord and His biblical pattern for the Church, there will also be a great harvest of souls won to the Lord from the world.

This leads me to discuss something that could be misunderstood and/or resisted, but it is something that is a major block, not only to the restoration of the Church, but to the revelation of God’s heart concerning His Church. It involves the meeting of our needs. First, I want you to understand that I have always been open to seeking God for the meeting of my needs; God wants to meet the needs of His family. But there is a large group of born-again Christians and even Spirit-filled Christians who are frozen in the place of continually seeking what God can do for them. They cannot seem to break free! They may be involved in a lot of good things, but, when push comes to shove, what is dominant is always their needs. I remind you again that God wants to meet our needs, but I tell you that He does not want our focus to be frozen at that place. He does not want our needs to cause us to be focused mainly on ourselves. This is an area that can be very deceptive, and some who should be receiving the message will say that it does not apply to them. For instance, some will say that they and their church are really moving in thanksgiving, praise and worship, outreach, etc., but the truth is that, even in this, their major focus is still on themselves and/or what the benefits will be. If we are going to experience restoration and offset some future devilish, dark storms, we must wake up and listen.

Christians everywhere must repent of and grow beyond being more focused on God meeting their needs than on knowing Him and being and doing what He desires of us. Too many Christians have continually run past “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done” to get to “give us this day our daily bread.” The truth is that they know little else; their whole spiritual life is built around seeking what God can do for them and what they enjoy. A few may occasionally get a glimpse that there is something else. They may even somewhat see the need for the restoration of the Church, but they are constantly being drawn back to a need-Giver relationship with God. Their idea of maturity is growing to the place of receiving their full inheritance, and being happy and fulfilled. Some professing Christians are always looking for something fresh and new, so I weigh carefully what I am writing because others have written or spoken similar things. Yes, you may have heard similar things before, but the truth is that it has never sunk in and taken hold because you have not had the revelation of it that can only come by and through the Holy Spirit.

I have a shepherd’s heart and a prophetic message. I cannot help it; it is what God has made of me. This does not always make me popular, and, at times, it makes some people uncomfortable in my presence. People who even love and respect me keep their distance at times, but with all my heart I believe that things are going to change. I believe that many people who are presently bound by various modern church doctrines are going to break free and look for those who are ministering biblical truth. I believe that there are Christians who are ready to forsake all to follow Christ. I believe that they will form the nucleus of a faithful remnant who will help bring restoration to the Church. Yes, there is coming forth a Church who has Christ formed within and who is one with God and with each other. I believe this Church will be mature in Christ and will be the salt and light that Jesus intends for her to be. I believe that she will be focused on fulfilling God’s will and taking the message of Jesus Christ and His kingdom to all nations. I believe that she will be focused on God and not self; she will have her Lord’s heart and will prefer others. She will have a revelation of God’s heart and will respond in kind. Will this be sooner or later? Will this be before devastating storms occur? Much of that depends on a faithful few with ears to hear who will forsake all to follow Christ. They will break out of their frozen state and will burn for Christ. They will cry out in intercession and will lovingly but boldly shout truth from the housetops. They will not stop until the Church is restored and functioning as God has always intended!

If anyone really loves God, wouldn’t they want to know what God is concerned about? Wouldn’t they want to focus on Him and His concerns? In essence, wouldn’t they want His heart to be their heart? I believe that is what is at the core of biblical Christianity and discipleship. Biblical Christianity and discipleship are the great needs of our day. Are you able to see and comprehend these needs? Are you interested enough in God’s view of restoration to do what is necessary to break free from the things of the modern Church and the world to become a biblical follower of Christ?

God is looking for people who have a special concern about His concerns and not just some general concern. How concerned are you? Are you ready to forsake all and follow Christ in continuing His works? That is what you were born again for! Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes, set you free, and give you God’s heart and view for the restoration of the Church. Then look for and join with true and mature ministers and disciples who are doing the same. All to the glory of Christ! (First posted January 26, 2008)

Prophetic Warning

I first posted this warning on January 26, 2008. It is still relevant today and those with true spiritual discernment will acknowledge that it was a true and relevant word for the last several years.

The Holy Spirit spoke this prophetic warning in my spirit several months ago. I am including it here because I believe it is a warning for all of the Church. I have an ongoing sense of urgency that is increasing in intensity rather than decreasing. I beseech you to study and pray over the following Scriptures. There are lessons to be learned from Ezekiel 12:17-28 and from 2 Peter 3:1-9. Pay close attention to Ezekiel 12:22,27 and 2 Peter 3:2-5.

True disciples of Jesus Christ must mobilize to accomplish God’s will and purposes and to fight the spiritual warfare that is necessary to prevent Satan’s plans and purposes. Those who desire to forsake all and follow Jesus Christ must be led of the Holy Spirit into the unity of faith. All preconceived notions of God and His Word must be put aside. Pride and stubbornness must be repented of and humility must be worked within all true Christians. True disciples must yield to the Holy Spirit as the One who will lead them into truth. Those who have ears to hear must take heed and mobilize!

Before the attack on Pearl Harbor there were enough warnings to prepare our nation, if people had paid attention. The same is true concerning September 11, 2001. The prophets of the Old Covenant gave many warnings that, for the most part, went unheeded. We cannot afford to make this mistake.

There are too many voices in the Christian Church! Well-meaning Christians are too often being led in the wrong direction. It is time to forsake man’s religion and to follow Jesus Christ. There are no options to following Jesus. There is only one Bible. There is not a Pentecostal Bible or a Baptist Bible. There is one Holy Bible for all true disciples. There are no private interpretations in the Church that Jesus is building. Don’t be blinded by some pseudo unity and cheap grace that uses a mushy love to give reason to continue to go our separate ways. There is only one Way. He has only one body. He has only one Bible to build our lives on, and please know that I am not speaking of any certain translation of the Bible.

The winds and the waves are fast approaching. There may be small winds that are almost unnoticeable to those who are distracted by the cares of life and of modern religion. The shame is that some will stay distracted even after the big winds come. It is time to get undistracted. It is time to mobilize by the Holy Spirit and under the Flag of The Lord. It is time to heed prophetic warnings before the winds begin to blow. Jesus Christ personally gave prophetic warnings that were fulfilled in A.D. 70. Some listened, but most did not. Today, He is giving warnings by His Holy Spirit through His prophets. Many, if not most, of those who call themselves apostles and prophets have taken those titles for themselves; there are, however, the true gifts found in Ephesians 4—apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers—and they are real.

There are real pastors today, and there are real prophets. FIND THEM! They will not be giving you somebody’s opinions. If you have been called of God and have been sharing a mixture of God’s Word and man’s word, then repent and help prepare God’s people.

BIBLICAL APPLICATION

“Son of man, look, the house of Israel is saying, ‘The vision that he sees is for many days from now, and he prophesies of times far off.’ Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord GOD: “None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done,” says the Lord GOD.’” Ezekiel 12:27-28

The Necessity of Being Properly Equipped

Text: Ephesians 4: 1-16

Jesus is on His heavenly throne, but at present a spiritual war still rages on earth. Some day in the future all evil will be put away permanently. Until that time Satan and his forces, demonic and human, are engaged in an all out war against anyone and anything of God on earth.

What are the followers of Jesus to do until Jesus returns? In every generation true Christians should look forward to the glorious return of our Lord Jesus Christ, but should be about the work that Jesus has assigned His church to do until He returns. He came to the earth and stayed focused on the Father’s business until He completed what had been assigned to Him. He now sits at the Father’s right hand waiting for His church to do the same.

On earth we have some major problems to overcome if we are to accomplish what the Lord desires of our generation. At present I am going to name only one of those problems. The first problem involves the ministers of the Church. In each generation Jesus calls, prepares and sends ministers to equip His people on earth for the work of the ministry. The problem is that in each generation Satan works to counteract the plan of Jesus by arranging for immature and false ministers to control many parts of the church. This is a major problem! It must be overcome!

I want to make it absolutely clear that it is a necessity for each and every Christian to be properly and fully equipped for the work of the ministry. Furthermore, I want to make it clear that no member of the church will ever be properly and fully equipped to accomplish his or her assigned work without being equipped by a true and mature minister who has been called, prepared and sent by Jesus Christ. Therefore, it is incumbent upon each and every Christian to make sure that they seek out a minister or ministers who will properly and fully equipped them for the work of the ministry.

Jesus and His Precious Blood

We have ministers in modern Christianity who are saying that Jesus is just one way to God the Father. Do not be deceived by these deceivers! Some are more open about their false teaching than others, but if you listen with discerning ears you will recognize their deceptive teaching. In any case do not be deceived by these deceivers.

Jesus is the only way to the Father for any and all people and His precious blood is the only thing that can wash away anyone’s sins.

John 14: 6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”

1 Peter 1: 18, 19  Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.”
Only the righteous in Christ will spend eternity with God. The only way to become righteous is to receive Jesus Christ as Savior and to have ones sins washed away by His precious blood.
Jesus is the only way to the Father and His precious blood is the only thing that can wash away anyone’s sins.

Relationship and Fellowship with God

We all probably know of situations in which blood relatives do not fellowship with each other; in fact they might not even be on speaking terms. They have relationship through birth, but do not have fellowship. This is a sad situation!

There is an even sadder situation between many Christians and God. Many Christians do not enjoy an abiding and ongoing intimate fellowship with God. They have relationship because of being born again, but do not enjoy the fullness of close and intimate communion with God.  They may desire close communion with Him above all else, but have not yet been able to experience it as an ongoing reality.  I have good news! It is possible for all the children of God to know Him in close, intimate fellowship.
The key to this becoming a reality in the lives of every believer is having Jesus Christ formed within (Galatians 4:19). Jesus and the Father are one (John 17:21) and when Jesus is formed in us we come into a place of abiding that the Lord God desires for all His children.
If this is your desire, then pursue it with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Yield to the fullness of the Holy Spirit and allow Him to form Jesus Christ within you. Being born again by faith was your beginning point with God; now by faith enter into all that Christ has made available for you. Seek God by faith for Jesus Christ to be formed within you and enter into life more abundantly.

August 2014

As you read what I write would you please understand that I realize that there are faithful ministers and church members in the body of Christ, but I also know that the Church as a whole needs restoration, especially the part that is in the United States.  (Fri. 8/28/15)

When the new nature of a Christian is mixed with the old nature, the result is an immature Christian who is often religious on one hand and lukewarm on the other. They are often very religious about church attendance but lukewarm about personal prayer and Bible study. (Wed. 8/26/15)

If a minister is born again and has also received the baptism in the Spirit, he or she will be actively moving in one or more of the nine gifts of the Spirit listed in 1 Corinthians 12: 8-11. If not, something is not right and needs correcting. One of the main things that need correcting is the false teaching that a person is baptized in the Spirit simultaneously with being born again. (Wed. 8/12/15)
The Lord Jesus is creating circumstances that reveal who and what people are. (Fri. 8/7/15)

If the church in the United States was made up of ministers and members who have been born again, baptized in the Spirit and sanctified by truth, the vote in Washington D. C. yesterday would have had different results.

Our little Sunday and Wednesday meetings are not for the most part producing true and mature disciples of Jesus Christ and we are paying a high price and the worst is yet to come unless real repentance takes place, so enjoy doing your little thing(s) while you can.

If you as a preacher cannot understand and/or rightly divide and teach what the Bible really says about the baptism in the Holy Spirit how do you expect governmental and judicial leaders to understand and rightly divided our Constitution? Wed. 8/5/15)

Let Judgment Begin with the Shepherds

God is righteous and His judgments are sure. Judgment begins at the church and there is no better place to start than with the shepherds of the flock. For the most part Christians go where their shepherds lead.  Many shepherds are not equipping Christians under their responsibility properly and/or are leading them astray.  For the most part they are equipping and teaching them by the standards, traditions and doctrines of their particular group and/or by the standards of the world rather than by the Spirit and whole counsel of God. Thank God for the few who are faithful to Jesus Christ and His word rightly divided.

I am asking the Lord Jesus to judge all of His shepherds beginning with me and to bring heavy conviction upon those who are not true to Jesus and His word rightly divided. If there are any shepherds who do not repent accordingly, then I am asking the Lord Jesus to replace them with shepherds after His own heart who will minister only the word rightly divided and will do so with an anointing that comes only by the Holy Spirit.

Speaking of anointing, there is a world of difference between personality and anointing, and a world of difference between enthusiasm and anointing.  Let the Spirit of God teach Christians the difference so that they choose their shepherds according to the Lord’s standards and not the world’s standards.

Spiritual Warfare

No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier (2 Timothy 2: 4).

Many years ago the Lord spoke verbally to me in a dream and said to call the body of Christ to war. Over the years I have tried to be faithful to what He said to me. Early this morning the Spirit of the Lord told me to write again about spiritual warfare and He gave me the Scripture listed above.  I titled this message and recorded the Scripture this morning and started studying and meditating on what needs to be said. Later in the day I learned of the devilish attack on our Marines. I am deeply saddened as I am sure you are, but I am not at all surprised by what took place in Chattanooga today.
By the leading of the Holy Spirit, I have for years been trying to wake up Christians and prepare them for the times in which we live.  On one hand I have called for what the Lord Jesus wants of His people, on the other hand I have warned of what the devil has planned for the people of God and for the nations, especially for the United States of America.
I have called for repentance and restoration of God’s people that would lead to revival and great awakening.  I have warned that if there is not godly restoration there will be devilish storms beyond your imagination. Let me clear something up for you. The devil is going to be around until Jesus puts him away for good. This means that there will be evil and it will increase. But what many Christians lack revelation of is that a restored church would be a force to be reckoned with. I will explain more about this in time. I will say that at present most parts of the Church are not properly prepared to resist the devil and his demonic and human forces. Neither are they properly prepared to preach the gospel of the kingdom in all the world as a witness to all nations. In fact, most preachers, much less their church members, don’t even know what the gospel of the kingdom is.
By the Spirit I have given general and specific warnings. An example of what I mean by general is when I say devilish storms. When I say people will be afraid to go to shopping centers because of the fear of attack or when I say people will be afraid to see someone with an exercise bag because it might contain explosives I am being more specific about devilish storms.
I am going to conclude this part by saying we have waited too late and devilish storms are here, but the Spirit of the Lord will help us if we let Him. One thing to be aware of is that as attacks increase there will be a desire to call for military and police action.  The devil would be quite happy to turn America into a military state with a very restrictive government. Remember that fear not only causes the hearts of people to fail, it causes them to call for things that would take away their freedoms.
What can Christians do? First, we need to humble ourselves and repent. We need to learn about spiritual armor and warfare and we need to pray. I will be teaching things that will help us. I regret that things have gotten this far along, but I am a soldier of the Lord and I am not going to surrender. I am calling for the body of Christ to learn about and carry out spiritual warfare.
I have a pastor’s heart with a prophetic call; I pray enough people will listen, understand and respond. All glory to Jesus Christ!

The Holy Spirit is Looking and Calling

At present, in the overall church in the United States, there are more ministers and members who are religious than there are ministers and members who are mature followers of Jesus Christ. Inside the church this is exemplified by the dedicated adherence of these ministers and members to the teachings of their group’s doctrines and the practicing of their group’s traditions. Outside the church it is exemplified by the spiritual darkness that is rapidly spreading throughout our nation because of the lack of lack of salt and light emanating from the church.

The Holy Spirit is looking and calling for ministers and members of the church who will yield to His teaching and do the true works of Jesus Christ. Those who respond whole heartedly will know the presence, anointing and power of the Lord Jesus as never before. The Holy Spirit will open the eyes of their understanding to the word of God in new ways. He will equip them to become salt and light witnesses of Jesus Christ and His kingdom to those within and without the church. They will be instrumental in restoring the church in the United States as well as saving our beloved country from destruction. They will meet great opposition from within the church and from society, but their victory will be in Jesus. They will learn firsthand that greater is He who is within them than he who is in the world.  Onward Christian soldiers! Onward to victory in Jesus!
