Followers (Disciples) of Jesus are Students of the Word

Only true and mature disciples of Jesus can lead the way to the much needed restoration of the church. No one can become a disciple unless they forsake all to follow Jesus and no one can become a mature disciple without being a student of the word.

To understand being a student of the word one must differentiate between being sanctified by God’s truth (John 17:17) and being sanctified by the doctrines of man. At present modern Christianity, especially in America, is dominated by those who are sanctified (set apart) by the doctrines of man. There are few that as of yet are answers to the prayer of Jesus in John 17:17. Will you be one of the few?

The few must see the need for a faithful remnant and give their lives to following Jesus and shouting the truth from the housetops as it were. Count the cost because you will be rejected and suffer persecution. You will be rejected by friend and foe. You will suffer persecution! The persecution will not only come from foes of Jesus but from some family members and from many in modern Christianity.

Count the cost of forsaking all to follow Jesus, but get to work in the harvest fields that are white for harvest. Jesus is counting on you!
