Repent and Become Salt and Light

Jesus Christ left His Church on earth to be salt and light and to, in unity, carry on His work. For the most part, the Church is presently failing, especially in the United States. What is the solution?

There is only one solution: the Church needs to repent; she needs to change. This raises an important question. Can the Church really change? The answer is yes. But for many within various parts of the Church, it is not going to be easy. Yesterday, I made the statement that it will be easier for far left liberals to become far right conservatives than it will be for many professing Christians to give up their man-made doctrines and traditions. Yet, that is what is going to be required.

As I awakened early this morning, my heart was crying out for the Church to be what the Lord Jesus wants of her. In love and compassion, not judgmentally, I saw very clearly that many Christians were proudly and stubbornly locked into their personal beliefs. They think they are right! It will not be easy for them to repent, but it is possible, and it is going to take place with many. However, it will require humility and brokenness. Some may have to be more broken than others.

The Lord’s will is for His people to willingly humble themselves, repent, and submit to His Holy Spirit. Some—and, hopefully, even many—will do so, but others are going to require a breaking. Circumstances, difficult circumstances, are on the way. For many, they are right around the corner. These circumstances will be used of God to start chipping away at strongholds that have bound many of His children. Thank God that many will respond, repent, yield to the Holy Spirit, and become sanctified by truth. Still others will proudly and stubbornly resist, even thinking that they are among the faithful few. In time, some of them will wake up and yield, but others will become hardened, not only toward believers, but even toward God.

In closing, I want to appeal to believers concerning political matters. Thank God if you live in a country that allows you to vote and even run for office. All believers should participate as the Lord leads, but many have been deceived and become more focused on bringing change through political means and methods than through living and sharing the good news of Jesus and His kingdom. The good news of Jesus and His kingdom will change people, and people will change government by being salt and light. This is an example of needed repentance and change. He and she who have ears to hear, let them hear. Some will hear, others will resist but change in time, and still others will become hardened. What will you do?

Prophetic Words of Restoration (May 2011)

A Spiritual Analogy: Praying with the spirit is to a believer's spiritual strength as weight lifting is to an athlete's physical strength. (1 Corinthians 14: 4, 15). With the gained spiritual strength the believer can help the Church; with the gained physical strength the athlete can help the team. (5/19/2011)

God's desire to meet your legitimate needs is greater than your desire to have them met. (5/17/2011)

No one will ever have their mind renewed without being born again, but one can be born again and never have a renewed mind. (5/16/2011)

There are too many orators in the modern Church. We need those with prophetic messages and I don't mean those with man made doctrines about end times. (5/13/2011)

It is possible to have known certain Scriptures for years without having revelation and illumination of those Scriptures. (5/12/2011)
