Repent and Live by Faith

One becomes born again (made just) by faith in Jesus Christ and His finished work. After one is born again (made just), they are to wait in faith for the promise of the Father (Luke 24:49). After being endued with power from on high, they are to live by faith (Romans 1:17), which means they are to follow Jesus and do the works He did while on earth (Matthew 4:23-24; Mark 16:14-20). Is Jesus working with you and confirming the Word through you with the accompanying signs?

If you can have faith for being born again, you can have faith for fulfilling all, not just part, of what we call the “Great Commission.” This charge by Jesus in Mark 16:15 does not end with verse 15. Verses 16 through 18 must be included to understand all that Jesus was saying. It is, however, often overlooked or ignored when the Great Commission is being taught. This is why it is critical to continue in the Word of God until you know truth (John 8:31- 32) that cannot be stolen from you either by the world and its lies or by parts of the Church and their man-made doctrines and traditions (Matthew 15:6).

Remember, faith for being born again comes from hearing the Word of truth (Romans 10:17), and faith for casting out demons and laying hands on the sick comes from the same. Study your Bible for yourself, and search the Scriptures to see if your preachers and teachers are giving truth (Acts 17: 11).

Isn’t it amazing that we want the lost to forsake the lies of the world and become born again, but many Christians will not forsake their church’s unbiblical doctrines and traditions? They bring people in and teach them to follow their leaders and their private interpretations, rather than teaching them to follow Christ and live by His truth. The deception is that all of this is done while holding a Bible and using the name of Jesus. It is no wonder many in the world and the Church are confused.

Do you see why it is the Church that is called to repent before God will heal our land? Let’s repent, examine ourselves to see if we have received power from on high, and live by faith in Jesus and His Word!
